Beach town Kuta, Bali

With a long broad Indian Ocean beach-front, Kuta was originally discovered by tourists as a surfing paradise.
It has long been a popular stop on the classic backpacking route in South East Asia. Back in the 1980s they used to talk about the three Ks: Katmandu in Nepal, Khao San Road in Bangkok and Kuta. Today Kuta still attracts some hardcore backpackers as well as families and tourists from all over the world, and is most notably a playground for young visitors from Australia.

Art Biking in Ubud, Bali

Took a 23 km hilly biking trip to stop at museums, galleries, temples, graffiti. The distance was short yet sharing the steep roads with motor bikes and cars was scary at the beginning. The local drivers were very patient with a foreign cyclist like me. It costs less than $1.5 USD per day to rent the mountain bike from the bus company.

Dirty Duck Diner, must eat in Bali

Enjoyed the duck with amazing garden and deco.

Lovina, Bali

Lovina is a quiet coastal town on the North Bali coastline west of the city of Singaraja. I did not sign up for the Dolphin sighting tour but just stopped by the beach after the long and winy roads from Bali.

Banjar Hot Spring, Bali

Soaked in hot springs for 20 Minutes. The sacred hot springs 'Air Panas' of Banjar are set in the midst of the jungle in a beautifully landscaped tropical garden, close to Lovina Beach, and it consist of three public and one private pool. The sulphuric water is of volcanic origin and has a warm temperature of 37 degrees Celcius, ideal for people suffering from rheumatic diseases.

Bedugul, Bali

It took me 2 day to find my second tour to visit Bedugul, an area in the mountain range of Central Bali. Otherwise, I would have to take public bus there and stay overnight.  The temple sits on the western shore of Lake Bratan and it can give the illusion of actually floating on the water.
